This 4-hour hands-on course is designed for experienced dental assistants who want to refresh or strengthen their digital X-ray skills. It’s ideal for those returning to the field, seeking extra practice, or working in specialties like oral surgery or orthodontics, where X-ray experience may be limited.

With personalized instruction, students receive guidance based on the areas they want to improve. You’ll get hands-on practice using a digital sensor to capture:

• Periapical X-rays (PAs)

• Bitewings (BWX)

• Full Mouth Series (FMX)

This refresher is a great way to build confidence — whether before or after completing the Dental Radiology Certification Course.

Note: This course does not cover panoramic X-rays.

This course focuses on improving technique and confidence in key areas of digital dental radiography. Topics include:

• Assembling and placing X-ray Rinn holders

• Proper use of a digital X-ray sensor

• Correcting common issues like overlapping, foreshortening, or elongation

• Adjusting for narrow palates

• Improving speed and accuracy when capturing FMX and BWX

The Dental Radiology Refresher Course is $195.

This in-person session is held at our training facility from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You’ll get additional practice and hands-on experience with key Dental Radiology procedures, guided by an instructor.

For students who would like a refresher on X-rays before attending the Dental Radiology Refresher Course, we provide step-by-step video tutorials on our YouTube Channel. Reviewing these videos before attending class is highly recommended to help you feel prepared and confident!

To transfer to another class date, our business office must receive written notice at least 7 days prior to the scheduled start date.
