I took the 3 month EFDA course and it was such a great experience! You really learn a lot and time flies by so quick by the end of it you have gained several new skills. In those 3 months, you really get a good grasp on how things work in a dental office and they teach everything hands on like the terminology, dental anatomy, procedures, instruments and more. Teresa and Bobbi were the best and sweetest instructors, if you are debating whether or not to do the program then I highly recommend it!
I also want to add that finding a job right now is not hard at all because there is a shortage of dental assistants! So do not let that steer you away. After my externship, my office wanted to hire me immediately and that is *usually* the case with most assistants after their externship.
