I completed my 12-week course and had an amazing experience. Aiyana and Natalia were the best teachers! My teachers were patient, supportive, and always willing to take the time to explain things and make sure I understood. They created a comfortable learning environment where I felt encouraged to ask questions and improve my skills. I truly appreciate all the time and effort they put into teaching me and helping me feel more confident in dental assisting.

I just completed the 1-Day EFDA & Radiology certification program and I couldn’t recommend it enough!! Aiyana was a breath of fresh air - she guided me and the other girls if and when we needed help, and was just incredible all day long! Experience is definitely needed a bit when completing the 1-Day certification, but I am so glad I came here. The office is also so cute which is a plus 😉 I was so nervous coming in, but was quickly put at ease and so thank you Aiyana so very much! 🤩

I had a wonderful experience with Academy for Dental Assistants! After moving out of Florida and being away from dentistry for three years, I came back for the 1 day refresher course, and it was exactly what I needed. Aiyana and Ms. Bobbi were both amazing! They were patient, VERY knowledgeable, and always happy to answer my questions without making me feel rushed. The course focused on the areas I genuinely needed to refresh while allowing me to move through the skills I was already confident in, making it a personalized and efficient experience. They made a fantastic team, and their teaching style kept every class dynamic, engaging, and enjoyable. They are both incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and it's clear they truly care about helping their students succeed. The students are very lucky to have them as instructors. The only area I think could use improvement is the X-ray room. The equipment is very outdated, and having a new sensor and a Nomad X-ray unit would make a huge difference. The current equipment makes it difficult to take quality X-rays and clearly understand what you're seeing, which can make learning more challenging. Overall, I had a very positive experience with the course, and I highly recommend it. The quality of instruction from Natalia and Aiyana made it an excellent learning experience.

This academy was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life! I was hesitant about starting my career in the dental field but the academy of dental assistants did nothing but reassure me and making me realize this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I had the pleasure of having Natalia and Aiyana as my teachers and they made this experience enjoyable and helped me learn everything I know so far. Throughout the week I would look forward to seeing them on Saturdays and tell them about my externship. I live in Kissimmee and the hour and a half drive is absolutely worth it. I took the 12 week dental assistant course and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The teachers were nothing but amazing and I learned so much and then some! I would recommend this school 1 million times if I could!

My experience was very good with this course, I learned a lot, the teachers help you a lot if you don't understand something, even though English was not my first language, it was not an impediment for me to pass the course and achieve my objectives, it is a course quick but definitely worth it if you want to become an assistant or gain experience in the dental field

I took a refresher course and everything was so easy to learn as I watched the videos before hand which are very detailed ! The instructor was so nice and no matter if I made a mistake she made me feel like I was doing so good. I would recommend this place every time.

I am dental assistant for over 18 years and I had to renew my certification and radiology license since I am moving to Florida. A4DA was recommended to me by dental hygienist, who spoke very highly of the academy. While I was moving, selling my house back home and buying new home in Florida I decided to contact A4DA. The phone call was very pleasant and informative. During this craziness I contacted the academy multiple times with a lot of questions which were answered always in details and with patience. The day of my hands on exam I arrived early and I was greeted by Teresa, who was vacuuming and organizing the exam room. She was very nice and welcoming. During the exam she was always encouraging all of the students and praising us when the required task is done. That made the exam go smoothly and up lifted the mood of the girls. I am definitely recommending the services of A4DA .

Honestly the best program ever. It’s crazy how you learn so much in a short period of time. When I tell you Pjai and Kathy were the best, they went above and beyond. They both helped me a lot and Kathy always push me to not give up. I will be returning for upcoming classes.

I’ve been a dental assistant for 33 years. I moved to Florida from Ohio and needed to get the Florida EFDA and X-ray certifications. I was so nervous to take the tests but I didn’t need to be. The instructor ( thank you Theresa!! ) and office manager ( Thank you Brooke) were so nice and funny and helpful. Once I entered the classroom Theresa had us relaxed and laughing. She took the time to get to know each of us. The class size was small so all of us girls were able to feel comfortable working with everyone. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. By far this is the best dental school I’ve ever been to and would highly recommend anyone take their classes or certification courses.

I took the temp crown and bridge 4 hour course. Theresa and Bobbi were amazing instructors, VERY PATIENT AND POLITE. They were both very informative about everything you needed to know about making a temp crown and bridge. During the four hour course I was able to complete two 6 unit bridges, two 3 unit bridges, 2 single crowns and a 9 unit bridge made of acrylic and Maxi Temp. There was no rush and no limit to what you wanted to do. I would definitely recommend<3

So I Came Today And Took The EFDA Refresher Class To Sharpen My Skills Back Up And Gain More Confidence And I Left Today Feeling Excited Again To Get Back In The Game💪🏽 Thank You Again Ms.Teresa!

I took the 3 month EFDA course and it was such a great experience! You really learn a lot and time flies by so quick by the end of it you have gained several new skills. In those 3 months, you really get a good grasp on how things work in a dental office and they teach everything hands on like the terminology, dental anatomy, procedures, instruments and more. Teresa and Bobbi were the best and sweetest instructors, if you are debating whether or not to do the program then I highly recommend it! I also want to add that finding a job right now is not hard at all because there is a shortage of dental assistants! So do not let that steer you away. After my externship, my office wanted to hire me immediately and that is *usually* the case with most assistants after their externship.

So today I went in for for my EFDA & X-Ray certifications & couldn’t be happier. I usually do not write reviews but this was a must. If you’re looking for a school that fits your busy schedule, THIS IS IT! I was able to be full time at my current job by going to school on Saturday which worked out even better! My DA future was at a halt all these years until I found A4DA and iam so glad there is a school like this that exists!! Also, the school is very organized, clean and beautiful in the inside. The instructors are extremely helpful and they don’t judge you, the material we learned was easy and understandable and the at home tests are very convenient and to top it off, you can make weekly payments if you chose not to pay in full! I loved my experience here and would highly recommend this to everyone!

If you are looking for a Dental Assisting school but not wanting to spend the thousands on thousands going to these other schools this is the place to go! Affordable, educational and hands on! 12 weeks went by very quickly and I couldn't have picked a better school! 12 weeks and I have a new career.

Just finished EFDA and X-ray Certification-could not be happier with my experience. Drove from Jacksonville and took the one day combo course. The material and instructors are thorough, knowledgeable and very helpful. I had several questions, as my drive is 4 hours, and the staff were very helpful in letting me know what I needed to know and what was expected. Would definitely recommend this class/facility for any person who wants a good education with great instructors.

I really enjoy my time at the Academy for Dental Assistants. The atmosphere of the school was lovely. The teachers I had were extremely nice and very professional, always willing to help and would not move forward unless every student was on the same page. I give great thanks to Academy for Dental Assistants for their dedication and attention, I would not be where I am today without the education I got from them.

Teresa and Eddy were great instructors. Hands on and there to answer any questions you have. Their program is affordable and state of the art. A4DA is accredited with the Florida Board of Dentistry. Hi, my name is Michele Alvarez. I have been a Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in New Jersey for the past twenty years. I am currently in the process of relocating to Florida and needed to obtain Florida Certifications in Dental Radiology and Expanded Functions. I looked high and low and came across Academy for Dental Assistants School in St. Petersburg, Florida. What a great choice!!!!!!! The school offered exactly what I was looking for.... A combo-1 DAY Saturday course. I was able to enroll (JUST COMPLETED CLASS SAT. JANUARY 27) flew in, completed my clinical exams and flew out the very next day. Academy for Dental Assistants was very professional and has a beautiful-organized facility. Theresa was my instructor, she was excellent, funny, patient and an all-around breath of fresh air...only because I was nervous from not knowing what to expect. I also met Rhonda Miller (School Director) she was fantastic and explained everything that was expected of the students to complete the certification clinical exams successfully. I enjoyed my experience and recommend this school to ALL Dental Assistants looking to be trained or looking to relocate to the State of Florida. I had been out of Dentistry for 17 years and wanted to re-enter the field. Because I knew there had been some changes in the field, I felt the appropriate step for me was to enroll in an assisting program. After researching several programs, I really felt the accelerated program offered by A4DA’s was best for me. It offered me the ability to do coursework instruction online at home while allowing me the clinical aspect hands on in office and through an internship program. The information learned and the experience gained in a 12 week program at a fraction of the cost of a University program was tremendous to me. There was a variety of experience levels in my class - those with 12 years experience, those currently working as a Dental Assistant, and those just entering the program. This course worked exceptionally for all degrees. Our instructors, Teresa and Brooke, were phenomenal. They filled us with knowledge and information, guided us in technique, and kept us on task and focused to meet the State’s requirements. I recommend this program to anyone interested in Dental Assisting.

I completed 12 weeks Dental Assistant Program. I am very happy chose this school. The instructors were great, especially Teresa and Eddy. They make learning fun and informative. I am very grateful for having such great instructors! Thanks to their great hands on teaching I was offered a job during my internship. It is ideal for those who have the time to do all of the reading at home. The classes are hands on only. I am comfortable going into a new career without feeling like I know nothing. Its the best experience , better than I ever imagined that it could be.

I had such a great experience at this school! They have such an amazing dental assistant program! I loved the teachers (Mrs. Teresa and Mrs. Amanda)! They were very helpful on everything and very knowledgeable! I usually don't write reviews... but I know when I was looking for a dental assistant program I always looked at the reviews and read what other thought! Soo if you are looking for a school to go to I really do recommend this one!! You will not regret it! I am also taking the ortho class.. So I am pretty positive that I will enjoy it as well!! ❤

I had a great experience. The teachers were very sweet and helpful. The teachers helped you every single step of the way and didn't try to rush the class. They made sure that you understood what you were doing before the class moved on. It also has a lot of hands on activity so its easier to learn. I would recommend this class to anyone because it was a really great class and i enjoyed it.

I took this class while I was on summer break from high school. I liked that they offer the coursework online and its all hands on training when your in class instead of sitting in class listening to boring lectures.it is a fast paced class but it was worth it. I now have my dental assisting certifications and can work part time as a dental assistant while Im going to college to become a Dental Hygienist. Thank you Jessica and Ronda.
