This 4-hour hands-on course is designed for experienced dental assistants who want to refresh their skills in fabricating provisional crowns and bridges. It’s ideal for those returning to the field or looking to gain confidence in temporary restoration procedures.
Please note: This is a refresher course, not a training class. It’s intended for dental assistants who already have experience and want to practice and refine their crown and bridge techniques.
This refresher course focuses on core skills used in provisional restoration procedures. You’ll have the opportunity to:
-
Prepare Alginate or VPS impressions before tooth preparation
-
Fabricate a posterior temporary crown (#31)
-
Fabricate an anterior temporary crown (#8)
-
Create a 3-unit posterior temporary bridge (#18–#20)
-
Create a 6-unit anterior temporary bridge (#6–#11)
-
Refine anatomy, contacts, and margins
-
Add material to temporaries to correct voids or margins
-
Work with different types of temporary crown materials
If you have specific areas you’d like to focus on during the course, feel free to contact us after registration. We’ll do our best to tailor the experience to your needs.
The Provisional Crowns and Bridges Refresher Course is $300.
The in-person portion is held at our training facility from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. During this session, dental assistants will gain additional hands-on experience in fabricating temporary crowns and bridges.
