Description
This EFDA & Dental Radiology Combo Certification Course is for dental assistants with at least three months of on-the-job experience and prior training in expanded functions and dental radiology. Students must demonstrate proficiency in EFDA and Dental Radiology procedures and pass both online exams with a minimum score of 75%. Upon completion, students will earn the Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) and Dental Radiology Certifications, qualifying them to perform these procedures as required by the Florida Board of Dentistry.
This Florida Board of Dentistry-approved course certifies dental assistants in both Expanded Functions (EFDA) and Dental Radiology.
To enroll, you must have at least three months of clinical experience and have completed formal EFDA training under a licensed dentist. You must also be confident performing EFDA and Dental Radiology procedures independently, as this is a certification course—not an instructional course.
Supplies are required for the course. If you choose to bring your own supplies, please ensure you bring all items listed on the 1-Day Performance Checklist (found in the Introduction Section once registered). The school does not provide individual supplies to students who choose not to rent. For the X-ray Certification Course, the school will provide the X-ray Rinns and necessary materials. The student must bring all other items unless the supply rental option is purchased.
