Externship Placement Information
Academy for Dental Assistants does not provide direct externship placement. However, due to the high demand for dental assistants, many dental offices contact our school regularly seeking both externs and potential new hires.
Below you will find a list of potential externship sites and/or dental assistant job opportunities from offices that have recently reached out to the school.
Important Notes: This list does not guarantee that the dental offices listed are currently accepting externs, as positions may have already been filled. If you are interested in a particular dental office, we strongly recommend contacting them directly using the information provided—even if the post is older. Many dental offices begin looking for new externs immediately after one of the externs at their office has completed their externship.
To secure your externship, students are expected to: (1) call, email, or visit dental offices to inquire about available externship opportunities, (2) provide a professional resume and cover letter, and (3) submit all required externship forms to the dental office.
Students may apply to any office listed on the provided externship list or to any licensed Florida General Dentist office of their choice.
If you are having difficulty finding an externship site or have questions about the process, please contact your instructor or the Program Manager for guidance and support.
