Our Digital Dental Radiology Refresher Course is a 4-hour hands-on training designed for experienced dental assistants who want to refresh or strengthen their digital X-ray skills. This course is ideal for those who have been out of the dental field for a while and wish to regain confidence, individuals seeking extra practice in digital X-ray techniques, or assistants working in specialty offices such as oral surgery or orthodontics who may have had limited experience taking individual periapical radiographs (PAs). Please note: This is not an instructional course. Participants must already have prior training and experience in exposing digital dental X-rays.

This 4-hour, hands-on refresher course is designed for experienced dental assistants who want to improve their digital X-ray skills. It is ideal for those returning to the field, seeking additional practice, or working in specialties where X-ray experience may be limited.

You will have the opportunity to practice taking periapical X-rays (PAs), bitewings (BWX), and a full mouth series (FMX) using a digital sensor. Instructors are available throughout the session to review your work and provide guidance as needed.

Please note: This is a refresher course, not a training class. Certification is not provided. It is intended for dental assistants with prior experience who want additional hands-on practice. This course does not cover panoramic X-rays. This course does not provide Dental Radiology Certification from the Florida Board of Dentistry.

This course focuses on improving technique and confidence in key areas of digital dental radiography. Topics include:

Assembling and placing X-ray Rinn holders
Proper use of a digital X-ray sensor
Correcting common issues like overlapping, foreshortening, or elongation
Adjusting for narrow palates
Improving speed and accuracy when capturing FMX and BWX

The Dental Radiology Refresher Course is $195.

This in-person session is held at our training facility from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You’ll get additional practice and hands-on experience with key Dental Radiology procedures, guided by an instructor.

To transfer to another class date, our business office must receive written notice at least 7 days prior to the scheduled start date.

Refunds are issued in accordance with the policy outlined in the Registration Form online. Please note that all refunds will exclude the 3.5% transaction fee charged on credit or debit card payments. A $25 nonrefundable registration fee will also be applied to cancellations made after registration.
