Description
This 4-hour hands-on course is designed to refresh dental assistants on taking dental radiographs using a digital sensor. It focuses on reinforcing proper techniques for periapical radiographs, including Bitewings (BWX), Full Mouth Series (FMX), and individual periapicals (PAs).
This course is ideal for dental assistants who have been out of the field and need hands-on practice, as well as individuals seeking additional training in digital dental x-rays. Prior experience is required to take this course.
This course includes instruction on taking radiographs for patients with challenging conditions such as a narrow palate, tori, or a sensitive gag reflex.
This course is not required as a prerequisite for the Dental Radiology Certification Course if the individual is already able to successfully take periapical dental radiographs. It is intended strictly as a refresher or skills-practice course in digital radiology. No Certification is provided.
