FMX Dental X-rays

This course is for the dental assistant that would like additional training/practice on taking Digital X-rays.

The ideal candidate is a dental assistant that has been out of dentistry for a while and in need of practice, an individual wanting extra  training/practice in digital x-rays or a dental assistant in the Specialty Field of Oral Surgery or Orthodontics that may not have experience taking individual PA’s (periapical x-rays).

Please Note: In this Refresher Course Panoramic X-ray is not covered.

The instructor will help each student with whatever it is they feel they would like help perfecting/improving.

This course is to refresh the dental assistants skills on taking dental x-rays by the use of a digital sensor. It is meant to refresh an individual on the proper techniques of taking periapical x-ray films: Bitewings (BWX), Full Mouth Series (FMX) and individual periapicals (PA’s) utilizing a digital sensor.

Digital Dental Radiology

This is a 4 Hour Hands-On Refresher Course with instruction on how to take digital x-rays on patients with a narrow palate, tori or a gag reflex.

This course is NOT required as a prerequisite to the Dental Radiology Certification Course if the individual can successfully take periapical dental radiographs. This course is meant as a “Refresher Course” or training course in digital x-rays.
